Siesta Key Oyster Bar is a laid-back island hangout that goes beyond typical bar eats with award-winning wings, gourmet grass-fed beef burgers, Maine mussels, Cedar Key clams, and specialty baked oysters. Meals are paired with margaritas, wines, and frozen cocktails. Sun Garden Café is a relaxed, breezy spot serving delicious farm-to-table breakfast and lunch plates. The family-run Village Café is another great breakfast and lunch choice.

Café Gabbiano offers refined Italian dining and an impressive wine cellar containing 200 global varietals. The menu at Clayton’s Siesta Grille features sophisticated land and sea specialties such as trout almondine, macadamia-crusted grouper, crispy half duck, braised beef short ribs, and mahi-mahi fish tacos. Nearby Captain Curt’s Crab & Oyster Bar offers tasty seafood specialties and a tiki bar with regular live music. Things to Do

Siesta Key features multiple beach accesses with beautiful white sands rolling out to the shimmering Gulf. Siesta Key Beach has repeatedly been named the #1 beach in the United States by Trip Advisor and others. Amenities include the Siesta Key Beach Pavilion. Other beaches on Siesta Key include the sea turtle nesting site Turtle Beach and the popular snorkeling spot Crescent Beach. All three beaches are regular gathering places for the artists, dancers, and musicians of the Siesta Key Drum Circle.

The pristine white quartz sand of Siesta Key’s beaches is ideal for building sandcastles and other sculptures. The Sandventure Crew creates elaborate sand sculptures with custom creations available to order for parties, marriage proposals, and other special events. In November, Siesta Key Crystal Classic is an international sand sculpting festival where teams compete to sculpt the most spectacular sand creations.

Businesses such as Siesta Key Watersports and Parasail Siesta Key offer parasailing over the island’s gorgeous beaches, while Kokomo Charters and Paradise Key Charters provide boat charter services for dolphin spotting, sunset watching, sea fishing, and visiting other islands.

Siesta Key Farmers Market is held every Sunday morning with dozens of vendors selling fresh produce, honey, jewelry, and original artworks.
