Regent Place

Located behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club on the southern end of Longboat Key, Regent Place is an intimate Gulf-front condominium community of just 36 residences. Two residential towers share more than 500 feet of private beach frontage, a central beachfront amenity area, on-site management, and a level of privacy rarely found in larger condominium developments. Completed in 1995, Regent Place was designed around exceptionally spacious homes, private elevator access, expansive terraces, and broad views of the Gulf of Mexico, the Links on Longboat golf course, and, from select residences, Sarasota Bay and the mainland skyline. The community’s limited number of homes, direct beach access, and full collection of amenities create a residential experience that feels both private and carefully serviced.

Regent Place

Intimate Gulf-Front Living Behind the Longboat Key Club Gates

Regent Place combines the space and privacy of a large waterfront home with the convenience of full-service condominium living. The community consists of two towers at 655 and 675 Longboat Club Road, commonly identified as the South Tower and North Tower. Each contains only 18 residences, with two homes on each residential floor.

The original site plan positions the two towers on either side of the central amenity area, with the clubhouse, heated swimming pool, spa, landscaped grounds, and beach boardwalk extending toward the Gulf of Mexico. The Links on Longboat golf course lies across Longboat Club Road, giving the community both Gulf-front and golf-course surroundings.

This low-density arrangement gives every residence a substantial footprint, broad exterior exposure, and a quieter arrival experience than is typical in a larger Gulf-front building.

Why Buyers Love Regent Place

Two homes per floor, exceptional space.

Regent Place appeals to buyers seeking a Gulf-front home with exceptional space, privacy, and service.

With only 36 residences and just two homes per residential floor, the community feels considerably more intimate than many luxury condominium buildings on Longboat Key. Private-entry elevators and separate service access reinforce that sense of privacy while supporting the practical needs of everyday ownership.

Both principal floor plans exceed 3,100 square feet of interior living space and include generous terraces on more than one side of the home. Residents also enjoy a carefully scaled collection of amenities, providing the comforts of a resort-style community without sacrificing the quiet residential atmosphere created by the limited number of homes.

The Story Behind Regent Place

Two towers, framing the Gulf.

Regent Place was developed in the mid-1990s during a period when Longboat Key's luxury condominium market increasingly emphasized larger residences, private access, on-site service, and extensive outdoor living.

South Tower

655 Longboat Club Road

Rather than constructing one large tower, the community was divided between two smaller buildings. Each tower contains only two residences on a typical floor, allowing the homes to occupy broad portions of the structure and benefit from multiple exposures and substantial terraces.

North Tower

675 Longboat Club Road

The community's site plan gave equal importance to the shared setting between the two towers. Together they frame a central beachfront landscape that includes the pool, spa, clubhouse, gardens, and beach access, creating a clear connection between the residences and the Gulf of Mexico.

Today, Regent Place remains one of Longboat Key's most private Gulf-front condominium communities.

Residences & Amenities

Two principal plans, exceptional scale.

Both principal layouts include private-entry elevators, separate guest or service elevators, multiple terraces, dedicated storage, formal and casual living spaces, and generous bedroom suites. Many homes have since been renovated or reconfigured, so original plans should be used as historical references rather than exact descriptions of every current residence.

Buying in Regent Place

Find your residence.

Every luxury condominium offers a different ownership experience. At Regent Place, buyers often compare tower location, Plan A or Plan B configuration, floor level, terrace orientation, Gulf and golf-course views, renovations, garage location, and leasing eligibility when evaluating the right residence. The distinctions between the two principal plans are meaningful. Plan A provides the larger interior and terrace areas, while Plan B offers a slightly more compact but still exceptionally spacious layout with flexible library or guest accommodations. Penthouse and modified residences may differ substantially from the standard plans. Leasing and pet rights also require careful review because current restrictions may depend on the specific residence, acquisition date, governing-document amendments, and Association approval. For more than four decades, Pettingell Professionals has helped buyers navigate Longboat Key's luxury condominium market. We understand the details that distinguish Regent Place's towers, floor plans, views, policies, and individual residences, helping our clients identify the home that best fits their lifestyle and long-term goals.
